I grew from a self-taught software engineer into a software engineering manager and front-end lead, serving in those leadership roles from 2008 to 2017.

I managed the transition from proprietary AOL scripting languages to modern web standards, helping a team of front-end developers build the skills the changing technology required.

I maintained hands-on involvement in backend system configuration to support product delivery and architectural stability. That combination of people leadership and technical involvement carried forward into my later project, program, and product roles.
